About Institution

KARNATAK ARTS COLLEGE is a premier Institution founded in 1917, to meet the higher educational, intellectual and cultural aspirations of the people of the North Karnataka region by the then Government of Bombay Presidency. The centenary of the college was celebrated in the year 2017.

SINCE 1958, the Karnatak Arts College has become a Constituent College of the Karnatak University for administrative purposes, it was bifurcated as Karnatak Arts College and Karnatak Science College, but they continue to serve unitedly the goal of excellence in education in diverse fields such as Languages, Social Sciences, Pure Sciences and also applied fields such as Commerce, Computer Applications, Business Management, Tourism Management etc., The Arts College is housed in a magnificent heritage building in a large green campus in serene surroundings.
